How does a hand work?
- Enter your bet and tap Deal Cards. The bet leaves your cash at once.
- You and the dealer each get one card. Aces are high, then K, Q, J, then 10 down to 2.
- A higher card wins. A lower card loses. The hand ends.
- Equal cards mean war. You have 5 minutes to choose.
What happens on a tie?
You choose between two options.
- Surrender: you get half your bet back.
- Go to War!: you pay a second bet equal to the first. Each side is dealt 4 cards and the 4th card of each is compared.
- In a war, a higher card wins and pays 4× your bet. A lower card loses both bets. A tie returns both bets.
What does each result pay?
The first cards win 46.2% of the time, lose 46.2% of the time and tie 7.7% of the time.
| Result | You get back | Profit |
|---|---|---|
| Win the first card | 2× bet | 1× bet |
| Lose the first card | Nothing | −1× bet |
| Surrender | ½ bet | −½ bet |
| Win the war | 4× bet | 2× bet |
| Tie in the war | Both bets | None |
| Lose the war | Nothing | −2× bet |
Why can't I play?
- You are not in a city that has a War table. Owners choose which games run in each city.
- The table has no owner, or the state owns it.
- The table is temporarily closed or switching to another game.
- You own the table. You cannot play in your own casino.
- You already have a game in progress.
- Your bet is over the table limit or over your cash.
What happens if the casino runs out of money?
A casino pays winners from its vault. If the vault holds less than your payout, you receive only what is in the vault, and the casino is busted.
Tips
- Surrender keeps half your bet. Going to war risks 2× your bet to win 2× your bet, and loses it all if you lose.
- A bet over the table limit is refused, so check the limit shown on the page.
- Decide within 5 minutes after a tie. If you do not, you lose your bet.
