Mobsteria guides

Starting out

  • Getting started Your first hour: learn the four resources, commit a crime, watch your rank progress and find the Help page.
  • Wanted level and jail Every attempt raises your wanted level. The higher it is, the more likely a failure jails you. Being jailed resets it to 0.
  • What you keep on death Anything tied to your account survives death. Anything tied to your character does not. Some account data is reduced.
  • Travel Pay a fare to move to another district. You arrive at once, then wait before you can travel again.
  • Hospital and rehab Your health refills on its own. The hospital ward doubles that rate. Rehab lowers your drug addictions. Both are free.
  • Inventory and items Your bag holds the items you find, craft and win. Use consumables, check what you wear, and watch your space.

Earning

  • Crime: Break Into Cars Search a street for parked cars and attempt each one once. Success pays cash and XP, with a chance of an item.
  • Shoplifting Pick one of five stores and attempt it. Success pays cash and XP. Each attempt raises that store's heat, which lowers your success chance there.
  • Pickpocketing Pickpocket marks on a shared street before they walk away. Success pays cash and XP, with a chance of an item.
  • Burglary Find a job, case it to build confidence, then break in. Success pays cash, XP and the items you found while casing.
  • Piracy Search for content, download it, then sell the file on the Street or mBay. Each sale pays cash and XP, and can get the file seized.
  • GTA Steal a car from one of six jobs. Each attempt costs focus. Success adds a car to your garage and gives XP.
  • Heists Plan a heist for cash and XP. Each attempt costs wit. Four heists unlock one after another.
  • Garage The Garage holds the cars you steal. Repair, sell, ship, lock or crush them. It is a tab on the Grand Theft Auto page.
  • Bullet Factory and Car Crusher Buy bullets at a player-owned Bullet Factory, or crush stolen cars into bullets at a crew-owned Car Crusher.
  • Bank Send cash to other players, or lock it in a savings account to earn interest. Wires cost a fee. Savings are lost if your character dies.
  • Black Market and escrow The Grand Exchange is the Black Market's order book: you set a price and wait for another player to match it. Escrow is a direct trade with one named player.
  • Jobs Criminal Jobs are a board of 8 jobs that changes every 2 hours. You spend items, and a job pays cash, rank progress and sometimes bullets or items.

Working together

  • Crews A crew is a group of players with a shared bank and a share of the money earned on its territory. You start as a gang and climb to a crew slot.
  • Organised Crime Team up with 1 to 4 other players. Each player brings a different contribution, then the team plays out a timed job and shares the haul.
  • Empire The Empire is your account's organisation. Put crew on operations that earn while you are away, buy businesses that fill a till, and collect everything in one tap.
  • Properties and safehouse Your safehouse stores cash, bullets, gear, items and cars, and it survives death. Properties are casinos and bullet factories you claim and run.

Conflict

  • Gym and Fight Club Spend energy to train six stats. Enter Fight Night cards to fight other players for a purse.
  • Equipment shop Buy guns, armour, Metro Passes and garages. Every figure on the page is the difference from what you wear now.
  • Hitlist Put cash, points or bullets on a player's head. Whoever kills them collects every contract.
  • The Range and weapon skill Spend bullets and cash to train weapon skill. Skill lowers the bullets you need to kill and unlocks Lethal Counter.
  • Protection, bodyguards and abilities New characters are protected from kills. Bodyguards give you abilities that make you harder to find and kill. They replaced the Panic Room.
  • Mob Bosses Spend charges to attack a boss in three rounds. Defeating your own boss pays cash, experience and items. A world boss pays by damage rank.

The long game

  • Operations Operations are goals that track what you already do. Daily Jobs reset every day. Contracts and Syndicate goals have no deadline. Each goal pays a reward, and a full clear pays a bonus.
  • Premium and the Points Store Premium adds bonuses to your resources, trades and Empire for as long as it lasts. The Points Store sells refills, resets, crates and Premium time for Points.
  • Loyalty Store Earn LP by buying Points with real money, then spend them on gear, perks and extras. The Loyalty Store replaced the old loyalty milestone rewards.
  • Events Staff-run events add extra rewards for a limited time. The Events page lists what is live, what is scheduled and what has ended.
  • MOB Pass The MOB Pass is a ladder of levels that runs for a set time. Your actions earn Pass XP, and each level you reach unlocks a free reward and a premium reward.
  • Sticker Book Open packs to collect stickers and fill the pages of the Sticker Book. A finished page unlocks a reward. Duplicates trade for tokens.
  • Votes and referrals Vote for Mobsteria on listing sites to get
,000 and a Vote Chip per vote. Refer friends to earn Points and credits.

Casino

House games: the rules, the payouts and the limits.

  • The casino Casino games are played with cash against a table that a player owns. Winners are paid from the owner's vault, and losing stakes go into it.
  • Blackjack Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. A win pays 1 to 1 and a blackjack pays 3 to 2.
  • Roulette Bet on where the ball lands on a wheel of 38 pockets: 1 to 36, 0 and 00. Place as many bets as you like in one spin.
  • Baccarat Bet on the Player hand, the Banker hand or a Tie. The hand closest to 9 wins.
  • Craps Roll two dice over a come-out roll and, once a point is set, as many rolls as it takes. Bet on the line, a number or the field.
  • Sic Bo Bet on the result of three dice. You can place many bets in one roll, on totals, numbers, doubles and triples.
  • Hi-Lo A card is dealt face up. Call whether the next card is higher or lower. Each correct call multiplies your pot. Cash out any time after your first call.
  • Keno Pick numbers from 1 to 80. The game draws 20 numbers, and you are paid by how many of yours are drawn.
  • Slots Spin three reels and match three symbols on the centre line. A win pays a multiple of your stake, and you can collect it or gamble it.
  • Video poker Get five cards, hold the ones you want and draw replacements. Your final hand is paid from a paytable, from 1x your stake up to 800x.
  • Mines Choose how many of 25 tiles hide mines, then turn tiles one at a time. Each safe tile raises your pot. Cash out any time after the first tile.
  • Scratch cards Scratch cards are items you find. Open one from your bag, scratch every panel and you are paid the prize it carries. Every card pays something.
  • Lottery Buy tickets with 5 numbers from 1 to 35. One draw runs every day at midnight, and tickets that match 2 or more numbers win a share of the prize pool.
  • Betshop Open or join a bet with 2 to 4 players. Everyone stakes the same amount, one player is chosen at random, and that player takes the whole pot.
  • War A card game against the dealer. The higher card wins. A tie lets you surrender or go to war.
