Odds bets (no house edge)
Odds are paid at true odds, so the house edge is 0%. You need a line bet and a point on. The odds bet is only limited by the table max bet.
| Point | Pass Line odds | Don't Pass lay odds |
|---|---|---|
| 4 or 10 | 2 to 1 | 1 to 2 |
| 5 or 9 | 3 to 2 | 2 to 3 |
| 6 or 8 | 6 to 5 | 5 to 6 |
How does a round work?
- Come-out roll: place a Pass Line, Don't Pass or Field bet and tap Roll.
- Pass Line wins on 7 or 11 and loses on 2, 3 or 12. Don't Pass wins on 2 or 3, loses on 7 or 11 and pushes on 12.
- A 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 sets the point. A point is only set if a Pass Line or Don't Pass bet is still working.
- Point phase: Pass Line wins if the point rolls again and loses on a 7. Don't Pass is the reverse.
- The round returns to the come-out when the point or a 7 is rolled.
Which bets can I place when?
- Pass Line and Don't Pass: only on the come-out roll.
- Field: any roll. It is settled on that one roll.
- Odds: once a point is on, behind your matching line bet.
- Come, Don't Come and Place: only once a point is on.
- Come and Place bets are off on a come-out roll. They are not won or lost on it.
- A Come bet resolves on the next roll like its own come-out. A 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 moves it to that number.
- Place bets win when their number rolls, then stay on the table. They lose on a 7.
Where do the edges come from?
All 36 dice rolls are equally likely. Edge = 1 - average return per
.
- Pass Line: win 244 / 495 = 49.29%, so edge 1.41%.
- Field: win 16 / 36, plus 1 / 36 extra on 2 and 2 / 36 extra on 12. 16 + 1 + 2 - 20 = -1 per 36, so 2.78%.
- Place 6: the 6 rolls before a 7 with chance 5 / 11. 5 / 11 x 7 / 6 - 6 / 11 = -1.52%.
- Place 4 or 10: 1 / 3 x 9 / 5 - 2 / 3 = -6.67%. Place 5 or 9: 2 / 5 x 7 / 5 - 3 / 5 = -4.00%.
What happens to my stakes between rolls?
Your stakes are taken when you place them and held in the casino vault.
- Winnings come out of the vault.
- A round expires 10 minutes after your last roll. Any stake still on the table is lost.
- If a roll pays more than the vault holds, the table busts and you are paid the whole vault.
Tips
- Odds bets are the only bet with no house edge. They need a Pass Line or Don't Pass bet first.
- Place 6 and 8 have the lowest edge of the place bets.
- Bet in multiples of $6 on 6 and 8, and $5 on the others, so no winnings are rounded away.
